Sara has been with Safe Haven since its founding in 1992. She began by serving on the Board of Directors. Eight years later, Sara was hired as the Executive Director & operated in that position until retiring in September of 2013. Sara has filled many roles at Safe Haven since her Executive Director's retirement and is currently the After-Care Program Manager. She has always believed in the work of Safe Haven and the valuable services it provides in our community. Her background as an alcohol and drug counselor for over 20 years allowed her to work with at-risk youth and families for many years. Sara has experience working as a case manager, program development, and training new staff. Her experiences fit perfectly with the mission of Safe Haven. Offering hope for a better future for one mother and child at a time. The mission has kept her passionate about Safe Haven and the effort it takes to keep Safe Haven the valuable community resource it has always been and continues to be.
